Hey Liz, what’s the right way to cook with stainless steel pots and pans? I have a set and it just seems like no matter how much oil I use stuff still sticks!!
I’m not an expert on this, but I would say, if it’s meat…bring it to room temp before adding it to to the pan, and makes sure the oil is hot before adding the food. You can also try oiling the food (like if it’s a chicken breast) in addition to oiling the pan. Hope that helps! I know, in general, you use more oil when cooking with stainless, but imho the health benefits of reducing carcinogens that leach into your food from non-stick pans outweigh the slightly higher fat in your food.
